It’s the Fringe and it’s the ninth time that The Lady Boys of Bangkok have been back in town, this time in a larger tent to accommodate an even bigger audience. Good thing too, it was packed out when I was there. A short runway now comes out from the stage where the Lady Boys strut their stuff - it all lends to the feeling that we are really part of the performance. New songs, ranging from ‘Cabaret to the Caribbean from The Rocky Horror Show to Titanic, Pirates to Parton and from thigh slappin’ foot-tappin’country-nwestern to the glitz-n-glam of Las Vegas’. Combine this with 18 performers along with glamorous outfits and new dance routines expect an evening of great fun and entertainment. Watch out if you’re male the Lady Boys like to find a couple of men and incorporate them into a few of their numbers. Dave from Solas Café was first up. Great performance Dave!! A couple of Scottish numbers at the end of the show gets everyone out of their seat and singing along.
