Stewart is a highly original comic, and a politically impassioned one. He fires real venom in the direction of certain tabloid journalists. He aims a little more playfully at Channel 4 and E4, sponsors of his venue. He has an excellent running joke about his mother’s favourite comic. I admire the risks he takes, with material that needs someone with Stewart’s excellent timing, pace and close audience rapport. This show doesn’t, for me, have the magic of last year, but it is extremely good and should not be missed.
