*****
Zoe bounds on stage, full of energy and enthusiasm, very successfully combining satire and wit to rationalise her fears. Zoe doesn’t take herself seriously at all, animating her performance with comical facial expressions and lots of props. She delves into a range of topics, like how to survive a nuclear attack, lesbian weddings, pram envy and a massive pubic mass ‘like Leo Sayer was making a comeback in my pants’. Her audience interaction was about the best I’ve seen, a highlight being when an audience member said she’d been in bed with a hangover when she found out Diana was dead. ‘Driving a white fiat recklessly in Paris the night before?’ Zoe quickly retorted. Zoe is the epitome of camp comedy, and I laughed for the full hour.
