A bit of a hidden gem this one. A
surreal hour of 17th Century
based comedy, performed in a
cave – only at the Edinburgh
Fringe. Christie is a likeable,
playful comedy actor who delivers
beautifully timed quips, with
a cheeky smile. Charles II, Nell
Gwynne and Guy Fawkes are all
strongly presented as comic caricatures,
but it was her Oliver
Cromwell that had me falling
about.
To be honest, Bridget isn’t really
a stand up comic at all, but an
actor who can do comedy really
well. This helps to deliver a
much more complete experience
than merely watching a person
with a mike telling jokes.
Highly recommended.
