The Cave has come along way since its days in the picturesque Royal Scots Club, (so picturesque the stage was just a prop with no actual wings for the performers to use), and is now found its home in the basement of the Freemason Hall in George Street. There is something of the Hellfire Club in the tiled hallways of this grand building. You could wash anything off those walls. Andrew Brown is getting closer to his aim of telling the story of cabaret and the acts are genuine showstopper with Empress Stah’s finale that did steal the audiences breath away. Unfortunately the show still needs more polish, and possibly a stage manager.
