This is an outstanding production! Spectacularly performed in Olde-English, the cast are more than fluently word perfect – they really own their characters. The passionate emotions and energy exhibited in this performance took me back in time, doing immense justice to a classic and very controversial tale. Brother/sister incest, envy, redemption and murder are but a few of the themes dealt with in this performance (and there’s even a gay kiss!) The cast dynamic works seamlessly together, which adds to the illusion. I had to go back and see this play again! A must-see for anyone into serious theatre. And even if English lit isn’t your bag, I don’t just highly recommend you see this play – I insist you must!
