I work as a researcher for a Glasgow-based Independent TV Production Company. We are currently planning a documentary which would explore the ways in which both men and women are re-defining their roles in the family context. We are looking for a group of 4-6 siblings aged between 30-40, all of whom live very different lives in terms of their family status. Ideally we'd like to find as diverse a mix of brothers and sisters as possible... a gay man or woman, a house-husband, a conventionally married couple with kids, a single woman who doesn't want kids, maybe a single father or mother, etc. etc.

We are not interested in producing yet more voyeuristic television, but in illustrating the out-dated state of the 'family unit' and presenting the alternatives.

If you and your siblings fit this description, or if you know of another family which does, I would be delighted to hear from you as soon as possible.

The campaign in with the support of the 'Daily Record' has been asking its readers to get 10 friends to sign a petition and send it off to: Keep The Clause, FREEPOST SCO5219, PERTH, PH2 8BR. Well, you could send a postcard or a folded bit of paper to that address, you might want to write telling them what a shower of B#ST#RDS they are, or whatever. You pay nothing for the postage, but the 'Keep The Clause' campaign does. 1000 letters, postcards (folded bits of paper) costs them around Ł190. The more thats sent the more it costs them.

Ive sent in a complaint about Dels' twice and they never get published. There is also another complaint on the visitors' book from tgch@glasgow.greatxscape.net whos had the same problem. Ive left entries on the visitors' book twice complaining about this censorship and they both GOT REMOVED... I tried again tonight and now even the visitors' book entrys now have to get "vetted" by the "website administrator". Its' a sad day when the "website administrator" is too scared to publish comments sent in. Will this entry get removed from this visitors book.. Hmm??.

I've just heard about the Stagecoach bus being painted pink today, in the fight against Souter's Keep The Clause campaign. Wonderful, keep up the good work.

I wonder what Soutar is afraid of?

More to the point, this bigoted millionaire will do anything for money. He hates gays, so why did he allow one of his buses to be used in the first series of Queer As Folk? Nathan is seen boarding a Stagecoach bus and waving from it to his friend. Stagecoach is clearly emblazoned on the bus.

Double standards Mr Soutar? Ban Gays, but make some money out of them.

I think we've now all got to focus on throwing our weight at the politicians and tell them that we won't be treated like 2nd class citizens; we need (a) to equalise the age of consent, whether by lowering the gay one or raising the straight one; (b) to protect gay employees by making it illegal to sack someone because of their sexual orientation (which is perfectly legal at the moment); (c) to make sex offences that apply to straights and gays, men and women equally, and get rid of all the sex offences that are exclusively gay or restricted to men; (d) to ensure that prejudice against gay people is eradicated (or at best alleviated) amongst the majority of Scots - and the list is by no means exhaustive. Anyway, great site; keep it up (so to speak)!

Just wanted to drop the purveyors of this website a post to let you all know how wonderful I think this site is. I am a gay male descendant through my mother of the clan Wallace and clan Hunter, and although I currently live in San Diego, California, USA and have never been to Scotland, I still feel a tremendous bond with and love of it that goes far beyond mere words. Your site inspires me and makes me feel proud of who and what I am, and what I stand for.

I've always wanted to make and wear the FULL kilt of my ancestors, but I'm not sure if I would be violating some code of (modern) clan conduct, or if to do so would in some way be socially insulting to native-born Scots. All I know is what's in my heart, and it tells me that that is what I am. I would welcome any helpful insight by way of comment or post.
